Recognizing Advocacy in the Present
My brother is an advocate for me in the present because of who he is and what he does or shows me that he is an advocate in my life.He does things to teach me.He tries to make anything fun so I can get excited or motivated to do something. He is able to make me laugh even at the hardest times. One day, as I was talking about school and what I should do to become a better person as well as what i should do to improve things that my brother should have done with my brother. The way he gave me advice made me understand what i was doing wrong. We were playing basketball and talking about any troubles i had in school.I said "no".Then i asked what i should do in school to make myself a better person and what to do things in middle school. He talked to me about things i never knew before. He asked me hard questions and really made me think about the question.
He was teaching me things that i didn't know ever before. He showed me his mistakes and advised me to not do the same mistakes he had made.I learned from that mistake and used that skill as my own.He really changed the way I am.Without him, I would have been a boy that no one likes, stuck up,etc. He made me laugh and was serious at the same time.He helped me on things I most needed help on.He was like "Superman." He would always come to the rescue. As I kept playing basketball with him, I realized that he was the one who taught me most of the things i learned today. He taught me many things. He made me realize who i really am.The time when i played basketball with my brother made me look up to him and think of him as my teacher.
