Manifest Destiny Poster
1. Justify how this project/activity/assignment meets the standard, using evidence from the standard itself to demonstrate your mastery and/or understanding.
Manifest destiny was the belief that the Americans thought to expand westward. The Americans drove out many living things that lived there like the Native Americans and the buffaloes. This assignment demonstrates understanding of the idea the Americans had to move westward and expand. This assignment shows what the Chinese went through when they moved to California to start mining.
2. Elaborate on at least 1 skill and/or strength you feel you gained from completing this project. (Coloring and or drawing are not skills to write about - elaborate on life skills you can take out of this project)
I feel like I gained being able to find information in groups and work together to get the work done quickly and efficiently. Finding each information and assigning roles was a big part in getting things done well and it showed we understood the subject and collaborated.
3. Upon reflecting on your work/score, what is ONE area of work you could have done better on? How will improving in this area benefit future work/projects? (Coloring and or drawing are not skills to write about - research skills, time management, etc…)
We could have done better on making the poster more appealing and make it look we tried our very best. Although we worked together, we rushed things and that made us hurry up and make it look not that appealing.
4. How will you presently apply the content and skills you learned from this assignment in the real world (outside of the classroom, particularly in today’s society) Make connections between the content and your life.
The skills I learned will help me throughout my life. The skills I learn will get me through life with communication and research. Communication is very important when getting help or getting things done for the same goal. Not only that, but researching information and gathering data increases my knowledge of this subject.
